Despite access to a domestic workforce and to new and emerging technology, for the foreseeable future there will be a significant shortfall of workers available to the industry.

Sub-theme

• Add civil construction roles to the various entry lists, including the Green List and the Skill Shortage List.

• Introduce formal pre-employment training such as that offered by the Infrastructure Skills Centre, including on the job training.
